A pear shaped rutialted quartz hanging from a vermeil chain. Very simple- very semiprecious! The stone is light vanilla in color with veins running through it that look like embedded gold.

The gold found in rutilated quartz is actually titanium, the same metal used for high tech alloys. It often forms needle-like crystal inclusions inside quartz.  I love it because every stone is completely different. Another anecdote about quartz is that  Ancient Japanese believed quartz was formed from the breath of a white dragon and regarded it as representing perfection. We love that since we use this stone in so many of our handmade jewelry designs.
