The moonstone is characterised by an enchanting play of light, a phenomenon known as 'adularisation'.  In earlier times, people believed they could recognise in it the crescent and waning phases of the moon.

The stones are masterfully beautifully cut for us in India (where they are regarded as 'dream stones' bringing the wearer beautiful visions at night), to reflect the natural shimmer of the crystals. The tops are a colorful cluster of apatite, coral and turquoise.
