Love What's Local in Newburyport! Pam Older Designs Event Sat. June 11 11-5pm

The Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce & Industry is starting a new initiative called "LOVE WHAT'S LOCAL" aimed at supporting local businesses in the Newburyport area. Pam Older Designs is delighted to have the spotlight shine on our sparkling jewelry and gift shop. We opened in Newburyport two Summers ago and our best customers are local buyers. We have had a website since 2005, but the new shop is where you can touch and feel and customize- an experience that online buying obviously lacks. Our local community is rich with inhabitants from all over and I take great interest and pleasure in connecting with many facets of the community.

Greater Newburyport will officially kick off "LOVE WHAT'S LOCAL" on Saturday, June 10 at 3 PM presided by Mayor Donna Holaday, Senator Kathleen O’Connor Ives, Representative James Kelcourse. Greater Newburyport decals will be distributed that day and displayed by local businesses.

To embrace the event, Pam Older Designs will offer special coffee and refreshments on Saturday, June 10 from 11– 5 PM. We are also offering 25% off our handmade jewelry this month. We want to draw attention to research that shows buying locally keeps money circulating close to where you spend it. For every $1 spent at a local business, 45 cents is reinvested locally!

Greater Newburyport "Love What’s Local" campaign has plans to stage new events and initiatives throughout the year. Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to look for the bold, bright, red "LOVE WHAT'S LOCAL" stickers that businesses like Pam Older Designs and other Chamber members will proudly display!
