A silver circle of zircon surrounds a shiny moonstone briolette.  The pretty sterling chain is 16" with a 2 1/2 inch extender.

The moonstone is characterised by an enchanting play of light, a phenomenon known as 'adularisation'.  In earlier times, people believed they could recognise in it the crescent and waning phases of the moon.

In India moonstones are regarded as 'dream stones' bringing the wearer beautiful visions at night.  They are cut to reflect the natural shimmer of the crystals.
